During the 2009-10 season, reigning two-time NBA champion Kobe Bryant had the top-selling NBA jersey in China for the fourth consecutive season. The Miami Heat's LeBron James, who played for the Cleveland Cavaliers last season, came in at No. 2, followed by the Orlando Magic's Dwight Howard, Boston Celtics' Kevin Garnett, and Chicago Bulls' Derrick Rose who moved up to No. 5. The rankings are based on sales from retail locations across the country throughout the entire 2009-10 season. adidas is the Official On-court Uniform and Apparel Provider of the NBA.
Coming off of his first All-Star season, one in which he became the youngest NBA scoring champion in history, Kevin Durant of the Oklahoma City Thunder made the top 10 for the first time. All-Star Deron Williams, of the Utah Jazz, also made the list for the first time. Following their second appearance in The Finals in three seasons, a trio of Celtics earned spots in the top 10, including Garnett, Ray Allen, and Paul Pierce. New Orleans Hornets' Chris Paul again earned a place on the list, moving up one spot to No. 6.
The new adidas NBA Revolution 30 uniform, being worn by all 30 teams during the 2010-11 season, will be on display for the first time in China when the Houston Rockets and the New Jersey Nets play at the Wukesong Arena in Beijing on Oct. 13 and the brand new, state-of-the-art Guangzhou International Sports Arena on Oct. 16 as part of NBA China Games 2010. Fans in China will be able to purchase the lightest and most technologically advanced NBA uniform in-arena during the Games and at adidas and NBA Stores throughout the country as of Oct. 15. NBA Revolution 30 uniforms, designed by adidas, are 30 percent lighter and dry twice as fast as previous NBA uniforms.
